Where did the time go?

It has been a few weeks since my last post. So much has happened so quickly! A couple of weeks ago, Tait started crawling! He is a little wobbly, but manages to get around just fine. It is amazing how quickly he picked it up and once he got the hang of it, he was off! Now he is busy pulling up on everything. I think it is baby proofing time at the Lindsay house. Here is an early video of Tait crawling towards Thomas the Tank Engine.

Tait has also started eating "solids." He likes to try new things, especially if we try them first. He copies everything we do and pretty soon it will be everything we say. Watch out! We are trying to teach him how to drink from a cup. When I hand it to him, he reaches out for it and carefully wraps his little fingers around the base pulling it to his mouth. Of course water dribbles out onto his clothes and the floor, but at least he is eager to learn.

Lindsey (known to Tait as Lulu) visited us over the 4th of July. Tait and I went to the airport to pick her up and he was so excited that he almost jumped out of my arms when he saw her! We had the best weekend and I realized how much I had missed my Ab Fab best friend! We are thrilled to announce that Lindsey and Charlie are adopting a baby and we only hope that her experience with Tait do not scare her too much! Here is a cute picture of LGB opening one of her first baby gifts!

On Saturday, we took Tait to a photographer to get his 6 month portraits made. He was hilarious! He loved every minute of the experience. The photographer would place him in a pose on the floor and he would sit still and wait for her to take the picture. Right as she was ready to take the shot, he would look up at her and smile almost as if he knew exactly what was going on! I knew my children would love the spotlight. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend.

Finally, Tait's personality is really starting to show. He is perfecting his new cry which consists of a quivering lip and long drawn out tearless sobs. When he is angry, he furrows his brow and cuts his eyes. Is this what we have to look forward to during his teenage years? Oh Joy! Here is a picture of Tait's recent "episode" when I took away his Thomas the Train so that he could eat his dinner. What a little stinker.

It is hard for me to believe that these first few months have gone by so fast. It makes me sad in a way to think that he is growing so quickly, but at the same time I am happy and relieved to know that he is such a strong, healthy and happy baby. Even though he is becoming more independent and determined to figure out the world on his own, he still wants his bedtime cuddles and kisses from his mom. And that makes me feel like the most important person in the world.
